STUDENT ENROLLMENT FUNDING BILL ADVOCACY IN SUPPORT OF SENATE BILL 830 –

JOIN LOS ANGELES UNIFIED’S STUDENT ENROLLMENT FUNDING BILL ADVOCACY IN SUPPORT OF SENATE BILL 830 –
Senate Bill 830 by Senator Anthony Portantino would provide additional funding based on student enrollment. California is one of six states that does not consider enrollment numbers for determining state aid to school districts. Districts currently plan their budgets and expend funds based on enrollment but receive funds based on attendance.
Direct outreach/engagement can help make a difference. Contact these key decision makers to let them know you want to ensure schools receive funding based on student enrollment numbers. Here are some easy ways you can get
involved to SUPPORT SB 830 and make a difference in students’ lives.
